Page 4 - Adding a reflaction



To create a reflected text effect, duplicate the text layer and rasterize it. On the same layer hold Ctrl and press 'T'. With the transform handles around the duplicated layer, right click it and select ' Flip Vertical' and finally move the layer into place below the original text.


Then with the flipped text layer selected add a layer mask, se the screen-shot below on how to do that useing Photoshop CS2.



Then select the gradient tool..



And that's it, see the finished button below

Hi,
It all works fine, but the last step, when i click gradient tool and use it on the layer mask the entire font just becomes a bit lighter, i guess its something with the gradient color, but honestly i have no idea. Everything else is great, and your Battlefield 2142 header is awesome!
Btw. did you add any shadows or glows to the vertical lines which u get by brushing it, because in your header they look thicker than in mine.
